I get most of my business by word of mouth – why do I need a website?
First off, that’s awesome! Seriously! You’re great at what you do – your clients trust and respect your work. Word of mouth will always be a great way to get new business. But, what about the people who are looking for services that you offer, that may be new to the area, or simply prefer to do internet research before they choose who to do business with? If you don’t have a website, your name won’t even be in the running and you could potentially be losing thousands of dollars. There are lots of reasons why you got into the business you did, but at the end of the day, you’re in business to make money.
Speaking of money… as the old adage goes, time is money. No one knows that better than a small business owner. How many calls do you take a week, where a potential client asks about your prices, hours, location, services, promotions? Would you say that you’re always available to stop what you are doing and take the call? A website that has this basic information allows customers to find you 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
